36th Annual
Lake Wales Art Show
on the shores of beautiful Lake Wailes

Artists are invited to apply for the 36th Annual Lake Wales Art Show. Our show has a long-standing tradition of exhibiting quality fine art and has now been expanded to two-days. The oak-shaded lake site provides artists with a picturesque setting for their art exhibits and attracts more than 20,000 visitors each year.
ARTIST HOSPITALITY
Exhibiting artists, art show sponsors and volunteers will be invited to a special artist's reception on Friday evening, March 23rd at the Lake Wales Arts Center. A Downtown Street Party will be held Saturday evening in Lake Wales. In addition to the parties, refreshments will be served at check-in on Friday from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 6:30 - 9:00 a.m. Booth sitters will be available for lunch and other breaks during both days of the show.
JUDGE
Mr. Robert Lynn Whitelaw is the founding Director of the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art at St. Petersburg College. Prior to this he was Curator of Education at the Tampa Museum of Art where in 1996 he received the Innovator of the Year award by the Florida Association of Museums for his work in developing a seventh grade partnership program with Hillsborough County Public Schools. He has also participated as a presenter for the Smithsonian Institute and as an organizer of programs for a Lila Wallace/Reader's Digest Foundation sponsored exhibition.
He is a graduate of Florida State University with both bachelor and master degrees in the History and Criticism of Art. He has juried art shows including the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, Palm Harbor Fine Arts & Crafts Planning Committee, ArtHarvest in Dunedin and has judged March on Art in New Port Richey, PAVA Out of the Blue Show, Dunedin Fine Arts Faculity and Student Show and Clearwater Fine Arts Show.
The Lake Wales Art Show
The Lake Wales Art Show is a public event that draws more than 30,000 visitors during the two-day event. It is always held on the shores of Lake Wales under the graceful and shady oak trees. The public is invited to enjoy the wonderful artwork presented by a variety of artists, the all day entertainment on Saturday and Sunday, and the great food provided by concession professionals. There is no admission fee and no charge for parking.
